CASH ON DELIVERY (COD) POLICY

At CROWNWEARS – Born To Rule, we understand that many customers prefer the convenience of Cash on Delivery (COD). As every product we sell is made-to-order, we have introduced a partial advance payment system to confirm genuine orders while continuing to offer COD as a payment option.

Please read this policy carefully before placing a COD order.

1. What is Cash on Delivery (COD)?

Cash on Delivery (COD) allows you to pay the remaining balance of your order when it is delivered to your shipping address.

To confirm your order, an advance payment is required during checkout.

2. Why Do We Require an Advance Payment?

Unlike stores that ship ready-made products, every CROWNWEARS item is manufactured specifically after your order is placed.

The advance payment helps us:

Confirm genuine orders.
Begin production of your custom-made product.
Reduce fraudulent and unclaimed COD orders.
Minimize unnecessary production waste.
Continue offering COD to customers across India.

3. COD Advance Payment Structure

Orders Up to ₹699

Pay ₹100 online during checkout.
Pay the remaining balance to the delivery partner when your order is delivered.

Example:

Product Price: ₹599

Advance Payment: ₹100

Amount Payable on Delivery: ₹499

Orders Above ₹699

Pay 25% of the total order value online during checkout.
Pay the remaining balance upon delivery.

Example:

Product Price: ₹1,200

Advance Payment (25%): ₹300

Amount Payable on Delivery: ₹900

4. When Does Production Start?

Production begins only after:

Your order has been successfully placed.
The required COD advance payment has been received and verified.

Orders with incomplete advance payments will not enter production.

5. Delivery Timeline

Since all products are made to order, the estimated delivery timeline is 15–20 working days from the date your order is confirmed.

This includes:

Payment confirmation
Production
Quality inspection
Packaging
Shipping

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to courier operations, weather conditions, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6. Payment at Delivery

When your order arrives, you must pay the remaining balance to the delivery partner using any payment methods accepted by the courier.

Accepted payment methods may vary depending on the courier service and your location.

7. Failed Delivery or Refusal to Accept COD Orders

If a customer:

Refuses to accept a COD order without a valid reason,
Is repeatedly unavailable for delivery,
Provides an incorrect or incomplete delivery address,

the shipment may be returned to us.

In such cases:

The advance payment may not be refunded if production has already begun.
Future COD orders from the customer may be declined.
We may require full prepaid payment for future purchases.

If the refusal is due to an error on our part (for example, an incorrect or defective product), we will work with you to provide an appropriate resolution.

8. Can I Cancel a COD Order?

Yes, but only before production begins.

Once production has started, COD orders generally cannot be cancelled because the product is being custom-made specifically for you.

9. Can I Change My COD Order?

If production has not yet started, we may be able to assist with changes such as:

Shipping address
Contact details
T-shirt size
Color (if available)
Quantity

Once production begins, changes may no longer be possible.

10. Are COD Orders Eligible for Returns?

Yes, COD orders are eligible for returns, replacements, or refunds only under the conditions outlined in our 7 Days Return, Replacement & Refund Policy.

Eligible situations include:

Damaged products
Defective products
Manufacturing defects
Incorrect product received
Wrong size shipped by CROWNWEARS
Missing items

Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery and supported by:

A continuous unboxing video recorded from the moment the sealed package is opened (without cuts or edits).
At least three clear photographs showing the issue.
Order details.

11. Is the COD Advance Refundable?

If a cancellation request is approved before production begins, the advance payment will generally be refunded.

If production has already started, the advance payment is generally non-refundable, as it contributes to the production of your made-to-order product.

Any refunds are subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

12. Fraud Prevention

To protect our customers and business, CROWNWEARS reserves the right to:

Decline COD for certain orders or locations.
Require full prepaid payment for repeat cases of refused COD deliveries.
Cancel orders suspected of fraud or misuse.
Verify customer information before processing COD orders.

Why can't I place a COD order without paying an advance?

Because every product is custom-made after you place your order. The advance payment confirms your order and helps us begin production.

Is the advance payment deducted from the total amount?

Yes. The amount you pay online is deducted from the total order value. You only pay the remaining balance when your order is delivered.

What happens if I refuse delivery?

If you refuse delivery without a valid reason after production has begun, the advance payment is generally not refundable. Repeated refusals may also result in restrictions on future COD orders.
